Just over a week ago my beloved home city was trashed. Today I made a visit to see how things had changed in that week. What a fantastic afternoon. Platform 4 were having their annual festival and it was a great atmosphere. Where else would you see an all male deaf dance group, mannequins piled high as performance art and Eastern dance, all of them watched and applauded by proud and enthusiastic Mancs. So many fantastic sights so no apologies about the number of shots here. Great day.

Rochdale Town v Nelson
First home game of the season for Rochdale Town. Evening match so light faded in second half but managed to shoot much later than in the past thanks to the D7000.

Pre- Season Friendly Chadderton v Hyde United
This was the first time I've tried the D7000 out at an evening game using floodlights. Since the reviews rave about its low-light handling capabilities, thought this was the perfect chance to put the claims to the test - and I was not dissapointed. Some of these shots were taken solely under floods with no ambient light available. Whilst grain is inevitably high, these shots were taken without NR settings applied at the higher end ISO. Impressive!
